The true is the whole.

Forgiveness from the Hateful

For those who have harmed
And for whom many carry resentments
Forgiveness only comes from the most hateful

Those who gaze upon others, those who seek to make others burn
Fire is not targeted, fire transcends objects, fire corrupts the subject
Fire burns away

When nothing is left except ashes, we rebuild
Chicago burned in three days, 22 years later, the World Fair.

Procrastination

In time I find that hours are lost
From morning till evening and dawn till dusk
The lust I feel, an urge of pain
To sit on my ass and waste my day

Papers fall upon me
Electronic signatures of my defect
I look to the world of green and yellow
A classroom of the failed architect

The night is yet young, I toil upon the letters
Uneasy in the effort, I lose hours yet again
Pulled by my hamstrings, I reach anabolism
Effort is renewed, another day in Champaign.

Twelve Steps Downstairs

I found love in surrender
I came to believe than a power greater than myself could transcend me from reality
I made a decision to turn my will and my life to the care of escapism as I understood it
I found a way to ignore my character defects
I hid them from all who cared
I became entirely ready to step downstairs
I turned on the basement light
I trapped those rats which tormented me
I covered myself with their furs
A silk coat I found myself in, I still wished for more warmth
White light emanated from under the wooden boards
Having climbed into the crawlspace, I believed I had ascended
